5 Wasteland Hacks for Spotting a Raider Ambush

5 Wasteland Hacks for Spotting a Raider Ambush

Congratulations, you survived the end of the world. That means you’re very capable, pretty clever, or extremely lucky. Regardless of how you survived, not dying is just the beginning, and life after the apocalypse is not going to be easy. Be prepared for the end of the world as we know it and the post-apocalypse with Wasteland Hacks.

Check the Road Ahead
If it’s blocked by a conveniently placed car, cart, or corpse, it could be a trap. Raiders love to funnel you right where they want you.

Look for Unnatural Silence
No birds, no wind, just eerie quiet? That’s not peace—it’s a trap. Raiders are just like toddlers; if they aren’t running around, screaming and making an unholy noise, they are planning to make your life hell.

Watch for Shiny Bait
A perfectly good can of food sitting in the middle of the road, a pretty girl, a fully functioning PS5? It might as well be a pile of birdseed with a sign that says free food.

Look Up
Snipers, lookouts, or that one guy with a rusty crossbow—raiders are practically Obi-Wan when it comes to the high ground.

Listen for Whispers
Raiders are terrible at staying quiet. If you hear low voices arguing about your boots, get ready to run or fight.

______________

Just like packs of feral dogs and super smart bears, raiders are part of the new natural order. They’re easy to avoid when you know what to look for.

Stay safe and have a great apocalypse.

Thanks, Derek. I’ve done a few short videos. More are on the way.

My wife and I get a kick out these short little blogs. You should make them a video as well just to add some fun.
